Usually clear your full credit card balance every month
Typically you use a credit card and like to pay the balance in full at the end of every month but occasionally you don't mind if the balance is carried over to the following month. As long as you're sensible in your choice of card you can ensure you keep those interest payments to minimum by selecting a card with a low standard rate with no annual fee and either a reward or cash back scheme. You may find that these schemes are not available on cards with the lowest rates so it's worth checking before you make the application.
